Company
Profile:
Established in February
2008 by Kate Brehaut (see below), La Belle Vie (Guernsey) Limited combines a true love of France
and property with professional experience and technical skills.
As a young company,
La Belle Vie brings a fresh and friendly approach to the subject, and aims to
provide an invaluable service to people who dream of living in, or owning
their own small piece of, France. Many people can find the French system
daunting and this can make them think twice about buying/moving or has
them neglecting their obligations, which can have unwelcome consequences in the future.
La Belle Vie hopes
to allay any fears by providing clear and concise advice and assistance and being on hand to deal with any issues that may
arise in a timely manner, leaving you free to enjoy your home from home.

Kate Brehaut FCCA, DALF, DipTransIoLET, MCIL Kate started her career in 1999 at PKF (Guernsey) Limited where she spent five years
in the French tax department, learning her trade and strengthening her interest in France and French property. Kate dealt

During this time, she also passed her ACCA exams and qualified as an accountant. After 6 months travelling the world, Kate

interesting and varied role saw Kate involved in UK, French and foreign tax and estate planning for
high net worth individuals, attending meetings with Tax Counsel in London, overseeing the management of a Château in
the South of France, playing a role in the management of a prestigious Parisian apartment, assisting with French tax filing
requirements and participating in worldwide property transactions and management issues, including budget preparation and
monitoring. After
leaving Artemis in 2007, Kate spent a brief spell at Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services Limited as
a Team Leader within the European Property Fund department before realising her dream and starting La Belle Vie (Guernsey)
Limited in February 2008. Kate divides her time,
with the mornings spent at a local trust and company administration firm dealing with the preparation of annual accounts and
monthly reporting requirements, and afternoons and evenings devoted to La Belle Vie. She has found time to pass her Diplôme
Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF) at level C2 and more recently qualified as a translator (French-English)
with the Chartered Institute of Linguists and is now a member of the Institute. Outside of the office, Kate enjoys cooking, dancing, rugby, a good bottle of wine and, of course, spending time
in La Belle France.
